Dumpling Balls

Description

These Dumpling Balls (often known as Chochoro or Corn Masa Dumplings) are a simple, boiled treat. They have a dense, chewy texture that makes them an excellent addition to soups or a quick stand-alone snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup YENE corn flour
  • ½ cup water (add gradually)
  • Salt (for savory) or sugar (for sweet version)

 

Instruction

1.In a bowl, combine YENE corn flour with salt or sugar.

2.Slowly add water while mixing.

3.Take small portions of the YENE corn flour dough.

4.Roll into small, smooth balls.

5.Bring a pot of water to a boil.

6.Gently drop the YENE corn flour balls into the water.

7.Cook for 5–7 minutes.

8.Savory: Serve with sauce, stew, or spicy dip.

9.Sweet: Sprinkle sugar or serve with honey.
