Description

This is a “pan-bread” or stovetop flatbread that doesn’t require an oven. Because it uses a mix of wheat and corn flour, it is more filling than standard bread and has a lovely golden hue. It is perfect for wrapping around savory fillings, dipping into soups, or eating warm with a bit of butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cup YENE corn flour
  • 1 tsp yeast (or baking powder)
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1–1½ cups warm water
  • 2 tbsp oil (optional)

Instruction

1.Mix dry ingredients ,Combine wheat flour, YENE corn flour, salt, and yeast in a bowl.

2.Slowly add warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.

3.Knead the dough for 5–10 minutes until smooth.

4.Cover and let it rest for 1–2 hours until it doubles in size.

5.Divide dough into small balls Flatten into round discs Cook on a hot pan (or traditional pan) until golden on both sides.
