About the Role:

Sales Representative is responsible for executing sales activities within assigned territories and routes to achieve volume, value, distribution, and availability targets. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the role has a strong field and execution focus, ensuring effective product placement, visibility, customer coverage, and adherence to company sales strategies across all channels.

The role plays a key part in building strong customer relationships, expanding distribution, managing direct van sales where applicable, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing timely market feedback to support the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Execution & Route Coverage

  • Execute daily sales plans and assigned route coverage as directed by the Regional Sales Manager
  • Sell and distribute company products directly to customers using van/route sales where applicable
  • Achieve daily, monthly, and quarterly sales volume and revenue targets
  • Promote products and drive incremental sales through excellent customer service
  • Support new product launches and promotional activities in the market

Product Availability, Visibility & Merchandising

  • Ensure continuous product availability at customer outlets
  • Ensure correct product placement, visibility, and right execution at outlets
  • Monitor stock levels at customer locations and support replenishment
  • Manage product displays and ensure compliance with merchandising standards

Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, kiosks, bakeries, flour houses, feed mills, and institutional customers
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensure repeat business and long-term customer loyalty

Order Processing, Cash & Documentation

  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Issue invoices and receipts at each outlet in line with company procedures
  • Collect payments and ensure proper handling and accountability of cash
  • Ensure proper documentation for all sales transactions

Distribution & Market Development

  • Support expansion of numeric and weighted distribution within assigned areas
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market dynamics
  • Collect and report market intelligence, customer feedback, and demand trends

Reporting & Coordination

  • Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability
  • Maintain accurate sales, route, and inventory records

Compliance & Brand Representation

  • Represent Brown Foods Group professionally at all times
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical sales practices
  • Ensure proper handling and care of company products, assets, and cash

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Entry-level candidates welcome; 1–2 years of FMCG or food/agri sales experience is an advantage
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic numerical, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
  • Willingness to travel upcountry as required
  • Basic MS Excel and reporting capability
